Twitter Updates on My Cell = No Sleep

So last night I was decided to turn on “Device Updates” in my Twitter account preferences. Boy, was this a bad idea.

I was supposed to be getting an early morning call from my girlfriend before she went to a doctor’s appointment, so naturally I had a speed-metal ringtone with my ringer volume turned on all the way;  the cell phone sitting right next to my face as I slept like a drunk baby.

3am rolls around and my cell phone starts going nuts. I’m jolted awake by some hardcore music 3 times in a matter of minutes. Finally I open my phone to see who the hell was calling/texting me at this hour of the night and to my utter surprise. . . . someone is watching television at 3am in the morning. . . . .

Sunfire & The Flu

Yesterday morning I had planned on going to a couple local car lots to look at cars. I found a couple good deals, but I think my mom wants me to get a VW Bug so she can drive it and I’ll be taking her 2005 Pontiac Sunfire. I actually think it’s a great idea, because I had already been looking at a couple used Sunfires for sale around Marion and the Sunfire is great on gas (35mpg highway, I believe). I’m kind of excited to actual have a working car soon, my Camaro has been out of it for a while now. Not to mention, if I do get her Sunfire, I won’t be spending $40 a week in gas just to go to school and work!
Anyways, enough about my car search. After I drove around looking at car lots for a couple of hours, I started to feel very sick. My Dad and little brother have both been sick with the stomach flu for a week, so I just knew I was in for a ride. After arriving home, I vomited a few times, took medicine, and went to bed. I’ve spent the last 30 hours or so sleeping and trying to keep little bits of food down. I’m not so sure if I’m sick anymore, or if my stomach just hurts from being so empty.

Can’t Sleep Tonight

Although I don’t have class until 5pm tomorrow night, I feel like I should have been in bed hours ago.  I’ve been up all night writing that paper I mentioned in a previous post. I attempted to use the introduction to help average people related to such a tech-heavy topic, but it was a definition paper, so I didn’t need to do much more than hook the reader by helping them relate before I laid on the Free Software philosophy and such.

I had my car looked at today by this cool old guy who lives down the street. He said something about a coil or something overheating, but I really just took the car up there so my parents would get off my back about it. I just want to trade this heap in as a down payment on another heap, one that doesn’t die all the time of course, and hopefully something better on gas. Although, I can’t say I’ll be picking up a fuel economy car for sure. I couldn’t pass up the chance to test drive a Mustang or a newer Camaro, and I know I wouldn’t want anything else after doing so.

Anyways, I’ll end this randomness. I think it’s about time to hit the rack.
